In most of the country, the weather is starting to get cold, and everyone is spending more time indoors. In Southern California, we’re lucky to be able to be able to enjoy the outdoors for a while longer, without having to put on a bunch of layers. Take advantage of the mild weather and enjoy your beautiful Orange County landscaping and host a Halloween party. Adults like dressing up just as much as kids do, so be sure to plan activities they can enjoy, too. Consider hiring a babysitter to keep the kids occupied.
Enhance Orange County landscaping and create a spooky effect with carved jack o’ lanterns, strings of lights in Halloween colors, and flicker-effect battery-operated candles. Pick a theme for a cohesive feel for the party. A flappers and gangsters evening is a lot of fun; or have a vampires ball. Do a quick search online to find a playlist of dance tunes to match the spooky mood. Set out plenty of comfortable chairs in conversation groups. Decide whether you’ll be serving a full meal or just drinks and finger foods. Tables with velvet and cobwebs or old lace tablecloths will contribute to the mood. A bonfire will round out the Halloween mood and give guests the chance to tell scary stories, just like you did at summer camp.
